Ultrasound-Guided Injections

Whether you need a treatment as classic as an anesthetic, steroid, or hyaluronic acid (rooster comb), or you need a treatment as cutting edge as hydrodissection or platelet-rich plasma, you want the solution to reach its destination. Ultrasound-guided injections can be both diagnostic and therapeutic, and they often can help postpone or prevent surgery. They can also be used in post-surgical recovery.

Patients receive ultrasound-guided injections at Family Osteopathy for

  • Nerve entrapments (e.g., median nerve causing carpal tunnel
syndrome, greater occipital nerve causing occipital headaches,
    saphenous nerve causing knee pain)

  • Partial tendon rupture (e.g., rotator cuff, Achilles tendon)

  • Ligamentous laxity (e.g., ankle sprains, connective tissue disease,
    recent pregnancy)

  • Osteoarthritis

  • Plantar fasciitis

  • Back pain
